Sara Nicole Morales, age 35, was shot and killed in Orange City on November 20, 2021. She was shot by a motorcyclist in a road rage shooting.
But, as it turns out, Morales was the aggressor who first started the whole incident. Witnesses claimed Ms. Morales was driving a blue Kia along the 1400 block of N. Volusia Ave on Saturday evening when she hit the motorcyclist deliberately.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Andrew Derr.
Morales attempted to flee the scene after hitting Derr. However, the motorcyclist and other witnesses followed her and contacted law enforcement at the same time.
Derr and witnesses tried to stop Morales but she refused and kept driving to her home. Then, she stopped her car, went inside her house, and came back outside with a gun in her hand.
The motorcyclist, accompanied by the witnesses, had followed her to her house and was standing outside. Morales came back and confronted Derr, pointing her gun at him.
In the ensuing argument, Derr also pulled out his own shotgun and fired multiple shots at Morales. According to Click Orlando, he has a valid Florida concealed weapon permit.
